Astoria, Oregon August 8, 2020

Hello from Astoria! I went (with my human) to the Astoria Column, which is high on a hill with a great view.

The column itself tells the history of this area in pictures. Normally you can climb to the top for an even better view,  but that is closed off due to COVID-19. We still had great views of the Youngs River and the Columbia River.

Astoria sits near the mouth of the Columbia
River and is just across the river from Washington State.
The Youngs River.
The Columbia River and the Astoria-Meglar Bridge. This bridge connects Oregon and Washington. It is over 4 miles long, and yes, we crossed it. No worries though, we crossed it in a car. My human did not make me walk it! (She says you are not allowed to walk this bridge. Smart rule in my opinion. Who wants to get stuck on the middle when you are too pooped to go on.)Me and my human. It was crazy windy (just look at her hair). I'm not a fan of the wind, so I didn't like walking around much, hence the front pack.
We went down under the bridge (still crazy windy) then over the bridge.

After the bridge and a little dinner (yay salmon!❤🐟😪) we headed to Sunset Beach. On the way, we saw this funny sign.
Yea, people aren't using their coins, so stores can't give people change. It seems to be a real problem. Some blame COVID-19, but now we know the real reason.
This was the sunset my human saw.
This was me. Hey. It had been a long day, I had recently eaten, and I was wiped out. I was just a kitten then (4 months old). What did you do at 4 months? That's what I thought.

Anyway, that was my 1st real trip with my human. Stay tuned for many more. See ya!❤❤❤
