Happy Halloween

This week is Halloween, so I thought I'd tell you a scary story. Once upon a time, a incredibly handsome and dashing young cat went hunting. A witch saw this handsome cat and, being a hag and quite hideous herself, was exceedingly jealous of just how handsome this cat was. So she cast a spell on our handsome cat. Even though he remained most handsome, he was no longer a great predator.

First he tried to catch some fish. Now these fish were easily seen, and it seemed as though this would be easy pickings, but he was unable to catch a single one.

Next he went hunting for birds. He happened upon a flock of birds that didn't seem to notice him. "This will be easy," he thought. He had practiced bird hunting many, many times. Always with great success. He could jump high in the air and roll upon landing while still holding his prey in his teeth. He was something to see as a hunter of fowl. But not this day. No, not this day.

It was a dark day indeed, for the witch's spell placed an invisible shield between our hero and his prey. Try as he may, he was unable to get to those birds.

And just to add salt to his wounds, these birds weren't even afraid of him. "Why do these birds not cower in fear?" he thought. "Why are they not trembling of freight and flying away?" He simply could not get a single bird to even care he was there. Did they not know of his prowess? Did they not know of his expertise as a predator? He felt so humiliated. He left that hunting ground in shame.

But do not fear, my friends. He is still a mighty hunter of shoelaces! And he still feasts on salmon 🐟 (any time his human gives him some).

      👻🧟‍♂️👻HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! 🧛‍♀️🎃🧛‍♀️
And if you see a witch flying by 🧙‍♀️,give her a swift jolt and make her release the spell on our incredibly handsome cat.🐱
