Yaquina Head Lighthouse

Hi there, it's Meili here! I'm going to tell you of a trip my human and I took that wasn't so good. Not all of them are perfect you know. This was a trip we took to the Yaquina Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon.

Now, there is nothing wrong with a lighthouse, or with the coast. It is just that on the day we went, it was SUPER windy. I think I told you I don't like wind (it messes with my beautiful wiskers). Well, this day was especially bad. My human was trying to keep me calm, not get blown over herself, AND keep her walker from being blown away. I was nervous and she was frustrated. Not a good combination. The views were great, but I was too nervous to notice. My human did get a few shots, and looking back, it was lovely. However at the time I REALLY didn't appreciate them. Here are some of them for you to peruse. At least you won't have to fight the wind to enjoy them.

While there, I did came across a big yellow thing. IT MOVED! Ok, it moved slow, but it did move. I was trying to figure it out when my human made me move on. That thing was soooooo lucky. I sooo would have taken it down if my human hadn't intervened. Sooo lucky!

Oh, and to make things worse, as we were heading back to the car, a huge monster came after us. I barely escaped with my life!! Luckily, I knew how to escape along with my human. Meili to the rescue!
(Meili's human here. It was an RV that drove by. Don't tell Meili, he thinks he survived a near death experience.)

Till next time. Hopefully the next trip will be more fun!
