Anacortes, Washington
Greetings my friends! So glad you visited my site! Today I want to share another adventure from the great state of Washington.
My human and I traveled up to Anacortes. Washington. This is north of Seattle on a small peninsula right on Puget Sound. Her plan was to take a ferry out to San Juan Island. Well.....
               We are getting on THAT?!?
That fell through. I won't go into the details. Suffice it to say things were ok in the end, but we never made it onto the ferry. As for me, I'm glad. Who wants to be over deep water in a metal contraption that, by all sound reason, should NOT float! I mean, look at it!
It weights a ton! It should sink like a stone! Don't go and try to talk "physics" to me. It simply does NOT look like something a feline should be on. Let those crazy canines do it. Most of them love the water anyway. Give me a tree anytime! There.  Settled.                Water - canines. Trees - felines.
Back to our trip. Since we missed the ferry (lucky us!), we visited a lovely little Park in Anacortes called Washington Park. It has a loop drive through it, a single lane paved road (one way for safety).
It was a cool day so there were very few people, which made it lovely for us. The woods and the sound were very pulchritudinous. (Yeah. I can use big words. To save you time looking that one up, it is (puhl-kri-tood-n-uhs) meaning physically beautiful, comely. Get a dog to do that!)
After Washington Park, we drove over a bridge (Deception Pass Bridge, supposedly famous) to Whidbey Island.
                   Deception Pass Bridge
On the north end of this island is Deception Pass State Park. It has a number of trails taking you into the woods (trees - good) and by the shore(water - bad). OK, the views were lovely, but I really didn't care for the shore. I was afraid my human was going to try to get me onto one of those boat contraptions again. They were entirely too loud and SHOULD NOT FLOAT!!! Just say'in.
We did take a short hike. Here are some of our photos.

The path we took in Deception Pass State Overall, not a bad trip. Well, I'll leave you now. Keep taking those adventures and remember.... Water - Canine!!! Trees - Feline!!!
